Maintenance of the aging box

UV aging boxes simulate ultraviolet radiation and condensation in natural sunlight to conduct accelerated weathering tests on materials and obtain their weathering resistance results. This equipment can simulate environmental conditions such as ultraviolet rays, rain, high temperature, high humidity, condensation, and darkness in natural climates. By combining them into a cycle, it can automatically complete a certain number of environmental condition cycles. So how to maintain the equipment? To make the equipment run better in the future.

 UV Aging Test Chamber

When installing the aging chamber, sufficient maintenance space should be left between the equipment and the walls or other equipment; the ambient temperature at the installation location should not change significantly; keep the equipment dry when not testing, drain the water, dry the working room, and keep the box clean. Place the equipment in a well-ventilated place (it is recommended to install an exhaust fan to keep the room ventilated); do not install the equipment in a dusty place; prohibit chemicals from contacting the equipment (keep away from combustibles and explosives); the wastewater discharge system must be installed in place; after each test, remove the sample and clean the test pad; cover the aging chamber with a plastic cover after use. Keep the appearance of the box clean; avoid dust entering the box); In fact, the maintenance of the ultraviolet aging chamber is very simple. As long as the equipment is inspected after the test or regularly inspected, the equipment can work better and maintain a good state for a long time.
The aging chamber can be used for vulcanized rubber, thermoplastic rubber, cable insulation sheaths and other rubber products. Under static tensile deformation, the test chamber is exposed to ozone concentration constant, temperature constant, closed, lightless air, and the samples are tested according to the predetermined time. The ozone aging resistance of rubber is evaluated from the degree of cracks or other performance changes on the surface of the sample.
Requirements for ozone sample racks: It consists of a shell, electronic components, and an ozone generator: The two ends of the sample are fixed at the required elongation rate with clips. When in contact with ozonized air, the length direction of the sample should be basically parallel to the airflow direction. The fixture should be made of materials that are not easily decomposed by ozone (such as aluminum). The rotation speed of the sample is between (20^-25) mm/s/s, and each sample moves continuously along the same path in the plane perpendicular to the dry airflow. The rotation time of the same sample is (8-12) minutes. The scanning area of the sample is at least 40% of the effective area of the test chamber. Sample preparation should comply with national standard 9865.1. It is best to cut samples from newly formed specimens, and if necessary, they can be cut from finished products. At least 3 samples should be used under each test condition.
The width and thickness of the long standard sample are not less than 10 mm and 2. 0.2 mm, and the length of the sample between the two ends of the fixture before stretching is not less than 40 mm. The ozone aging chamber is suitable for aging crack tests of non-metallic materials and rubber products.
